| When we got caught in the rain storm |

| Welcome to Hereford |
Borger, as I have said in the past, is such a unique area. It is one of the more difficult areas I have been in, but I still love it and the people here!
Today I read a scripture in the Book of Mormon. Alma 58:40
"But behold, they have received many wounds; nevertheless they stand fast in that liberty wherewith God has made them free' and they are strict to remember the Lord their God from day to day yea, they do observe to keep his statues, and his judgments, and his commandments continually and their faith is strong in the prophecies concerning that which is to come."
As we follow God and become his disciples, we will be "wounded" by friends, family, strangers who don't understand our faith and dedication. But we must stay faithful, because we know what is to come. Have faith in God that he WILL fight alongside you.
It says In Preach my Gospel pg. 89 (a book we use to help us be better missionaries)
As we follow God in all we can, we WILL succeed in our work, God WILL help us, He WILL guide us to people who will listen, He WILL give us power, and he WILL shower blessings upon us through the gift of the Holy Ghost.
My challenge to Everyone this week is to find 2 things in your life that distance you from God and the spirit and over the next week remove those from your life.
So on to our week in Borger! We didn't teach much, we biked A LOT! Looking back I can see how my physical endurance has grown so much in the mission. The first weeks I fell asleep in companionship pray EVERY night....yes. it was embarrassing..haha..and now we bike all day long up and down hills and I come home and wish I had time to go on a run!
One day this week we were biking and is started to rain! No one would let us into their houses. When people see two girls on bikes on skirts, we decided they don't see two people, but two giant missionary name tags...haha
We started talking to this man who wasn't to interested, and he was about to leave when suddenly we hear that dreaded waterfall noise again. We looked at the end of the street and saw a wall of rain heading toward us. The man ran inside his car port, and we stood there and within seconds were soaking. The man sat dry under his car port for about 30 sec...thinking, pondering, fighting with the nice person inside of him....and finally invited us under and we got to talk to him more! He warmed up and it was a neat conversation.
Another plus of Borger is that our home has a real piano in it! Sister Langston has been teaching me when we have a few min (hardly Ever)
Love you all
